Hello everyone and welcome to Chinese Medicine Notes!

Chinese Medicine Notes is a blog about many things that are all Chinese Medicine.
Behind the blog stand two people:
The man (and my husband)- Oshik, building websites for a living, an all around talented tech-guy, a wonderful father and my best friend.

cmnotesAnd then there was the woman…
My name is Yael. Yael means ‘mountain goat’ in Hebrew, but I can assure you- I am not mountain, nor am I a goat. Yael is also the name of the heroin that killed Sisera in the bible, and one of the most popular names in Israel.
I’m in my 30’s, married to Oshik (the guy from above), I’m a mother to Shahar (which means ‘Dawn’ in Hebrew) who was born on 2007. Oshik and Shahar are my two reasons to get up every morning. I live in Tel Aviv Israel, which is a great place to live in.

I started studying Chinese Medicine in 1999, and been in “the business” ever since.
I finished my studies in 2002, opened a clinic and did rather well for myself. I stopped my clinic when I was 6-months pregnant, and as life sometimes has different ideas about our path, I found myself concentrating on bringing Chinese Medicine and the Internet together.
This allows me to be more present in my family life, work at something that I love and meet colleagues from around the world.

I started my Internet adventures in 2005 with my Hebrew website which is called Sinit (which means ‘Chinese’ in Hebrew).
The goal of this website was, and still is, to be a center of information for the Chinese Medicine community of Israel. The website quickly grew, and is now my main source of income, with many articles, case histories, information about recent research, activities in Chinese Medicine in Israel and abroad, interviews with well-known practitioners from around the world (including Israel), it is one of the main platforms in the field today that new practitioners can publish articles, and there is much more information for those who are determined to make their income through Chinese Medicine- in the clinic and on the Internet.
The success of the website along with the contacts I made with colleagues around the world, encouraged me to have an English blog, where I can connect with my fellow colleagues who aren’t fluent in Hebrew, and so Chinese Medicine Notes came to life.
Every now and then I take another course, another seminar, which makes Chinese Medicine all the more beautiful, delicate art-like field, and a lot more interesting.

I blog because I love it.
I love Chinese Medicine, I love talking and writing about it. I also love the Internet and the combination seems perfect for me.
I also love the ability to connect from little Israel with the rest of the big world, chatting with various on-line friends about Chinese Medicine and other things.

Additional important trivia about me
I love music, and I’m a huge fan of the band Queen- the original band (Brian May rules!).
I am also a Paul McCartney fan. I was always pro-Macca, but since his glorious performance in Tel Aviv in Sept. 2008, I am a big fan, and I am still very much inspired by the artist, who was one of 4 people who were able to change the world with music.
My favorite food is Sushi and I am addicted to ginger.
I love buying cloths at Mango.
I also love photography but I understand absolutely nothing about it.
My favorite city in the world is Rome, and a close second is Barcelona, and the football team- Barca (I don’tunderstand too much about it, but I enjoy their game very much!).
