TCM Directory- a Close Look

cmdToday I want to take a close look at TCM Directory.
I think it’s important for all of us to be aware of the options for Internet marketing that we have around us (one of many), and sometimes, it’s good to be reminded of obvious things, like the importance of websites like TCM Directory, and the important hard work that Elie Goldschmidt puts into his directory.

A long time ago…
When I was a student, the best directory I found was Acupuncture & TCM Links of Vil’s.
This was like striking gold for me back then, and I spent hours looking through the various links.
The years went by and things changed, and now we can find other directories, one of them is TCM Directory.

TCM Directory
The short version of this review can be- what ever you are looking for in TCM, this is the place to start looking for it.
TCM Directory is packed with information, and all you have to do is sit down and start reading.
I found so many new websites through this directory- I was really happy with the amount of information I got from just one tour! I found sources to use about building a clinic, continuing education, journals, classifieds, news and a blog with interesting posts, a list of forums and groups on the Internet, practitioner’s supplies, and of course an on-growing directory of clinics and websites of practitioners. On this directory you can choose to sign up for free or for a certain amount of money per year, which offers more features than the free option. The rich content is accompanied with a nice design and a user-friendly website.

The importance of TCM Directory is in it being a center of information for practitioners, providing good and useful information for all of us, seeking to be good practitioners and good business people.
It allows us to interact as a community in it’s own right, sharing information and stay updated with news in the TCM field.

Conclusions
I think that TCM Directory is a very good and important website.
I feel it in Israel and I think it’s true for the rest of the world- on the one hand, there’s so much information in Chinese Medicine, one can not help but feel overwhelmed by the amount of it. On the other hand, I don’t think we all know how to even start looking for information!
It sounds strange, I mean, what can be more obvious than Googling the term “Chinese Medicine”?
I think that the fact that we have this diirectory can be helpful for everyone- practitioners who wish to be a part of a big community and people who are interested in Chinese Medicine, whether they are simply interested or if they are looking for a practitioner.
