One of the things that trouble me the most is the lack of information the Chinese Medicine community in Israel has in regards to marketing and business.
This was one of the main things that drove me to open my own website, and what drove me to try and become an information center for the community in regard of Chinese Medicine, but also to be the place where people go to in order to open a clinic and actually be successful.
This might sound as if I give business consultation- which I don’t. But I do urge people to understand a number of important things:
Being a practitioner means that you are actually opening a business. No matter how you look at it, no matter what you think of business- you become a business person, and in order to do well you need to learn certain things. Another option is to hire people to do the things you don’t know how to do.

The book by Ofer Baranovitch, Stages, Levels, Envelopes, is a challenge.
It contains 270 pages that talk about complex matters in Chinese Medicine- the 6 divisions, 4 levels, 8 extraordinary meridians and the connections between them. As the book unfolds, there are connections being made in between the topics I mentioned above, and other topics such as blood vessels and the TW, which in itself is some what of a mystery in Chinese medicine.
As I was reading the book I made notes on the points I wanted to mention in my review.
It is a list, but it’s still a review- a different kind of review. I think that the fact that this book is different from all the books I read in Chinese Medicine, I think it is fair for it to have a different kind of review.

You know how it is:
You study something you love, get all wrapped up about it and with it, and every now and then you meet people who inspire you in different ways.
Inspiration found it’s way to grace me in a various ways lately.
During my studies, which has been going on for almost 10 years now, I met people who made me think, create new things, learn more and ultimately made me richer.
I have one teacher who has been and still is a great source of inspiration.
But there are also others.

When my boy suffered his 2nd asthma attack, I had a fall out with Chinese Medicine.
As a result I didn’t even want to look at Julian Scott’s book about children. Nothing against the book or Julian, but I needed a break.
My faith in Chinese Medicine is now restored, and I am able to go on with reading Julian’s book.
A small addition about excess and deficiency
Last time we talked about excess and deficiency and I would like to add, that Julian addresses an important factor in children’s health- LPF.
As we are in the era of antibiotics, this is an issue that is worth reading and looking into, as it can cause a situation of LPF in children.
