My New Niece
Posted on January 28, 2009 by Yael
Mazal Tov- I have a new niece who was born on Sunday, January 25, at 16:26!
Happy birthday baby Asia!
About the name
If you thought that my name is weird- Yael, what must you think about the name Asia??
Well, it is not a very common name here in Israel, but it does exist.
And I would like to say in my brother’s and his wife’s defence, that it wasn’t so long ago that Paris was a weird name too!
The correct way to pronounce it: Ah-C-Ya.
But hey, what are the chances that you will meet her and have to say her name right?
January 25, 2009
So aside from the fact that she was born exactly 2 years and 23 days after my perfect boy, we are talking about the Chinese New Year’s.
The 26th is the beginning of the Ox Earth year.
Alas, baby Asia was in a rush to be born on the very last day of the year of the Rat. I say in a rush, because her due day was February 5th. Do you think this means anything interesting??
So I’m trying to apply what I already studied about Stems and Branches:
Although she was born in 2009, according to the Chinese, baby Asia is Wu-Zi, her stem is Stomach in Fire and her branch is the Gall Bladder. We can also see the Yang Ming layer present.
Looking at her map, I see Fire- as it is the Great Movement, it is obvious that fire will be present in her life.
Taking into consideration the 4 possibilities, I can see that there are a number of options:
She might have many ideas but with difficulty to concentrate (Fire disturbing the Earth and the Yi aspect), she can have a number of digestive problems like heartburn, a sort of delay in understanding things….
Of course, these are all possibilities, it’s too soon to tell.
That much I know. What else?
I still don’t know enough about the rat and it’s symbolic significance, so if you can help me out it will be wonderful.
Trigrams and Hexagrams
I know that the trigram of the stem Wu is Kan.
The little I know about it- on the outside we have softness but in the inside we have very strong energy.
From the little I know about the hexagrams, we are talking about hexagram 24- Return.
We have the ligthning striking the earth, an image for something that was born.
I don’t know much about these things at all, but putting the two together, even with just those 2 sentences above, it seems like my niece knew what she was doing! She has great things going for her just from the trigram and the hexagram.
Eric from Deepest Health said something about writing about the hexagrams.
I will turn this little note into a promise, as I’m sure that everyone will enjoy a series of posts about the hexagrams by you, Eric! How about it?
Over to you
I would be very grateful for your insights and thoughts about what I wrote, and if you can- send me links.
Would love to read your comments and learn more.
