Good Updates

Posted on December 10, 2008 by Yael

Things have been wonderfully busy this week.
I have finally started 2 courses that I have been waiting to do for years:
The first one is Stems and Branches. I’ve been waiting to do this course for 6 years. It was like there was never the right time to do it. I started a Stems and Branches (or as my friend and I call it- Leaves and Twigs) twice in the past but it was never the right time, or the right teacher.
This time it’s just right.

The second course is by my mentor and practitioner. I have been nagging him to teach for 8 years!
And finally it started, yesterday, and I am so happy!
I have a feeling that I am doing a bit too much, but then I feel I can’t choose between the two.
Truthfully- I just don’t want to choose. I want to do both.
So this is the first good update I have for you.

2nd good update
CMNotes has been included in a list of the top 50 eastern medicine blogs!
I don’t know about you, but this my first, and this was a nice way to start the morning.
I am happy to be in a list with some of my friends- like Amy from Portland Acupuncture Blog and Eric from Deepest Health.
I also find it interesting that the people behind the list are a part of nursing schools, people who don’t study Eastern medicines. I like the fact that they take the time to read what we have to say. Are we doing the same?? hmmmm….

3rd good update
Burton Kent has a little competition running for us.
It seems he has decided that the title for his marketing eBook isn’t good enough any more and he’s asking our help to find the new title.

Why is this a good update?
Well, it gives us a chance to learn more about marketing ourselves as practitioners, which is very important considering the state of the economy. People who know about this much more than I do (most people, actually…) say that 2009 is not going to be an easy year. This makes me think that we all can benefit from reading more about marketing our clinics, and finding ways to keep our head above water when things are so shaky for everyone.

4th good update
Got the inspiration to write more on CMNotes.
I hope you share my feelings of happiness on that last little note.
