May turned out to be a busy month!
We kicked things off with The Seven Emotions, a review about one of my favorite books in CM (if not my most favorite). I think every practitioner and every student of CM can benefit from this book.
I was very happy to meet Barbara Kirschbaum last March during the ICCM congress we had here in Israel.
Barbara was a huge hit with the Israeli CM community and with good reasons. I wrote my impressions of this very interesting woman, mainly to let people know about Barbara, but also to let people know there is more to tongue diagnosis than we are lead to believe.
I then went on to tell you about Julian Scott, who also graced us with his experience on the ICCM congress.
I’ve been told that Julian actually read the post and especially liked reading about all those other Julian Scott’s out there.
May 2008 will be remembered as a bad month for the human race, with all the disasters we had around the wrold, the earthquake in China being a devastating experience, taking the lives of tens of thousands of people. We had a little scare with 2 Israeli CM students who were missing after the quake, but we are happy to report that they were found 2 days after the quake, alive and well.
On May 15th, bloggers united for human rights, and CMNotes was proud to be one of the bloggers who wrote about it. I chose a different topic which I feel is very important for women world wide- sexual abuse.
The Problogger book is now out, a book about blogging by Chris Garrett and Darren Rowse.
If you’re a blogger, this is a book you need to get. I’m reading it now, getting a lot of important information and very good ideas.
The world of Gua Sha is a very fascinating world.
I stumbled upon it by accident, a teacher mentioned it when I was on my 4th year (2002), and for some reason it stuck and I started investigating. If you got a class on it in school- you’re lucky. I didn’t, and I think it’s wrong, mainly because it’s a wonderful and simple technique to use with excellent results.
I used it with my patients and got great feedback.
Ian Brown is coming to Israel and I’m very excited about it! Yeah, you can probably tell if I took the time to find a connection between him and CM, can’t you? Ha- laugh all you want, but music sounds very different once you got the 5 Elements under your skin.
I started a new category this month, weekly links- every week, around Thursday (the start of the weekend in Israel), I will post a list of links about CM or links I think are interesting to the CM community world wide.
If you have links that you want to share- I’d gladly post, just send them over, and I’ll mention them on the weekly links.
