The Monthly Round up- April 2008

Posted on April 30, 2008 by Yael

We start with a nice little tradition- the monthly round up.
I will list all of the posts we made this month, and sometimes- if I feel like it- we will add interesting things we liked this month. Just one of the good side of being my own boss, I can add things I like just because I feel like it.
Let’s begin:

The Heiner Experience Part 2 followed part 1 (this is just the way it goes, you know?), in which we talked about anger, what Heiner had to say about anger in a seminar he gave last month and how all is experienced by me through acupuncture.

Part 3 of the magical mystery tour (aka The Heiner Experience) soon followed, this time I posted an interview I had with Heiner via e-mail, which introduces the man and how he got to study and teach Chinese Medicine.

I was very happy to host my very first blog carnival here on CMNotes- Carnival of Healing #133 featured links to good and interesting blogs, most of them are all about Chinese Medicine, which is always a good thing.
Hopefully we will host another carnival in the future. You will be noted, don’t worry.

One of the subjects that are very close to my heart is Chinese Gynecology and how to interact with women with Chinese Medicine.
I find Chinese Medicine to be very well suited to treat women on most aspects I can think of, always taking into account her emotional, mental and physical state and treating them all. Every woman knows how important that is, and on The Foundations of Pregnancy in Chinese Medicine I talked about part of the basics every practitioner and healer should know before treating a woman, especially before a pregnancy.

Jin Bu Huan is a Chinese drug which was lately in the news due to the tragic death of a young woman who died as a reult of liver failure, after using this drug.
We tried to set the record straight and make it very clear that Chinese herbology is not Chinese drugs on the post Jin Bu Huan- Not The Proper Chinese Herbal Medicine.
I would also like to refer you to Amy’s post on the same subject on Portland Acupuncture Blog.

My Own Private Small Intestine has everything to do with Chinese Medicine and my experience as a mother.
Studying Chinese Medicine made me feel at home from day one, and helped me understand many things in my life that I couldn’t explain without the concepts as they are presented in Chinese philosophy.
Without a doubt, motherhood is one of the things I can best explain through CM, and this is just one example.
